Hello, here’s a bit about me…
My name is Debra and I run a Wellbeing Company here in Bedfordshire. I have been helping hard working individuals and organisations just like you, build resilience and better mental wellbeing through my 1-2-1 therapeutic support.
I previously worked in the emergency services for 23 years and as a result, I began to feel unwell. The relentless high work load was taking it’s toll. I thought I could cope, however in 2014 I experienced what I can only describe as total burnout.
At the time I did not know what was happening to me, I was exhausted both mentally and physically, I was experiencing feelings of chronic anxiety, experiencing panic attacks and my worries were spiralling out of control. What I didn’t know back then was I had chronic stress!
I was diagnosed with vicarious trauma and spent many months recovering. I realised I needed to take note and make some changes.
I decided to do some research around what leads to stress, what happens to the body both mentally and physically when chronically stressed and more importantly how I could get myself out of this constant anxious state, depressive thought cycle and back to enjoying life again.
I read hundreds of self-help books, applied my learnings and got back on my feet. It wasn't easy, I had good and bad days, but eventually I was able to return to work.
I used this negative experience and turned it into a positive. I trained as a Hypnotherapist focusing on helping people just like you escape the negative cycle of anxious and fear provoking thoughts that can so easily consume you.
You don’t need to spend hours reading self-help books (unless you want to of course) as I have put together some simple strategies to get you back on your feet and feeling good again. I have also learned that everything in life is a choice, you can either continue to suffer or get back on your feet and make some changes.

I use a combination of Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy, Kinetic Shift and other simple techniques to help you feel better about yourself. (Just fancy names for little techniques to help.)
There is one thing that sets me apart from other therapists, I have hands on experience regarding the issues you face when you come to see me. I really listen to your concerns and work with you to gain the very best outcome for you. I will teach you how to overcome anxious feelings and end panic.
